When I worked as a dental nurse, our Indian receptionist gave me her mothers 'cure all' recipe when I was having chemo. It was grated ginger, turmeric powder and a pinch of cayenne, all put in a coffee jug with boiling water and infused for five minutes. The plunger was then used, and the tea drunk. So this knowledge has been round for a very long time. I still drink it often.
