Boston and Back

Friday, April 05, 2013

Well I did it! I went on my trip to Boston. Then immediately got sick after I got home. I haven't calculated how much I walked yet. To be honest I'm not sure there is any way to accurately calculate how much walking I did at the PAX East convention. But I also wandered around Boston. I missed out on trying an authentic cream pie. Something I'm sure my waistline is grateful for. I did finally get to do the "Authentic Diner" experience. My breakfast burrito lacked meat but it was wonderfully filling. I enjoyed several iced teas while I was there and drank a ton of water. Boston was incredibly dry! I was quite surprised by this.

So now I'm home and it is back to the grind. No sign of my promotion yet. I'm starting to think my boss forgot about it. I do however have more work I do during a normal week.

I've already booked the hotel for my next vacation. Heading to Cologne, Germany for another convention.

I hope everyone is doing well! Have a great weekend.

I'm heading up to Boston tomorrow night for a week. I won't have the Boston Cream Pie either! Check a recent blog of mine to see a walk in the Back Bay section I posted to see if anything looks familiar... I imagine you were in the Seaport area for your convention.
I was in Cologne a few years ago. The cathedral is incredible, especially the Magi relics in the gold chest at the front. I couldn't take my eyes off it. The Roman Museum right next to it is great also.
    Hope you feel better soon!
