Worked hard this week...

and still GAINED a pound and a half at my weigh-in this morning! So frustrated!!

We enjoyed a quick trip to Gatlinburg, TN Thursday - Sunday night. While there, I didn't eat the best, but it wasn't terrible. I still stuck mostly with my veggies, lean meats, and fruits. Just allowed myself a few out of the ordinary treats. Ran "hills" that were long and steep, just enjoyed the view and the quiet morning! Though we left later than my 15yo dd wanted to, we were blessed in that we completely missed a huge wreck on a major interstate late Sunday night and arrived home safely at around 2am.

I took this week to try some classes at the YMCA that I normally don't get to go to. Worked really hard, burning 12-1500 calories each day according to my HRM. Really frustrated stepping on that scale this morning and seeing my weight go up!! Clothes aren't fitting well, if at all, after this huge gain. I am easily tired/winded and just feel bad. All of this started with the new medication in October and really with the increase in December. I went off everything a couple of weeks ago, so I am hoping it will level off as my body adjusts to the change. Frustrated that this medicine that was supposed to make me feel better has made me feel so much worse!

With my jaw surgery approaching in July, I am worried that I won't be at my best and will have a harder time with recovery.

Sometimes I gain weight from eating foods that have a little too much salt, especially when we go out to eat and don't have control over what goes into the food.

I just returned home after a two-day trip, and, although I ate very little while traveling, my weight went up. It's sitting in a car, not moving.
I am sure it will look much better by Saturday. Just don't give up.
