My friend is doing better...

Thursday, April 04, 2013

My neighbor's medical problem turned out to be her gall bladder. She is feeling better today. I don't know what they are going to do about it, but hopefully something.

So, I got home from picking up my friend at the ER at about 12:30 last night. I didn't realize that I had left my phone slightly off the hook. Oops! A number of people tried calling me this morning and got a busy signal. I didn't realize what was going on until early this afternoon. Hopefully, if what they had to say was important then they will call back. It made for a quiet morning.

Got to the gym today. Ran for 35 minutes and pedaled for 35 minutes, then realized I didn't have time for ST if I was going to get my shopping done before my appointment. Oh well, I did a week's worth on Monday. Got my shopping done (groceries, pet supplies, dry goods) and went to my appointment, only to find they were one of the ones to try and call this morning to reschedule. Rescheduled, but I couldn't fit it in until April 23rd. I have to work around my dad's schedule, so that I can borrow his truck while he is working which limits my availability. Not that I am complaining!

I dropped the truck off this afternoon and took the dog for a walk getting home again. He loves to roll in the grass now that the snow is gone and the ground is dry enough. It is cute, but it makes our walks a little slower. lol... I will take the dog out again tonight after American Idol. All together it was another 20+ mile day. Gotta like that!

Gall bladder attacks are not fun, but they do keep returning until it is removed for many people. Hopefully she won't have too many problems.

Sounds like you still got quite a bit of exercise time in. Great going.

Even though my GB removal was the old fashioned way, i felt so much better than I had since high school (about 25 years of yuckiness every time I ate, to a whole new world) At least she has the possibility of the non-invasive surgery available today!!

Hope your neighbor can get better soon. Hubby had horrible gall bladder attacks before they figured out what it was. He had it removed years ago and no problems since. He had his done the old fashioned way, and my mom had hers done a few years later and it was a one day in out surgery.

You neighbor may have to have her gallbladder removed. I had stones and had to have mine taken out and what a big difference in the way I felt. Wishing for a quick recovery for your friend.

Looks like you and Cooper are on a roll with all the mileage you getting in. emoticon

I had similar gall bladder attacks (they totally suck) and it ended with my gall bladder being removed. Hope your friend is better!
