I'll be running my first 5K (a color vibe fun run) with my friend Jess in May - just at the right time for the end of my C25k training. Extra motivation = bring it on!
I'm resting again from running today after my gym misstep but will be doing a barre workout in my apartment today and maybe taking Gatsby out in the morning for week 2.
It's interesting now that i'm trying to be healthier i really notice the little things that add up to feeling worse. For instance, my Achilles tendons are pretty tight. I realized this is because i have been wearing heels almost every day for months in an effort to make my legs look longer and thinner. I've switched to wearing supportive flats most days . Sadly it's just occurred to me that my footwear can affect my ability to perform.
I also had a little bit of chocolate last night. The end result - I couldn't get out of bed in the morning. I think I'm more susceptible to sugar because of the PCOS.
So to sum up - i'm officially entered in my first 5K, I shouldn't eat bread or sugar, and I should wear good shoes.
Change is in the air my friends.
