Dag-gone-it it is hard sometimes, so much goes on in our daily lives, our jobs, homes, family, friends, chores, finances, stresses, food, sleep.......................
Sometimes we wish there were just more time, more minutes, more hours in each day andwe all know that will never happen. Some people are better at organizing their time than others, whether you are one of those people or not, don't let all of those things override the time that you need for focusing on you.
I set my plan in motion before I even get out of bed and at this time in my life, my early 40's and my body and metabolism are slowing just enough that I HAVE to really focus on me or I'll end up back where I started at age 37. The part that counts the most is sticking to the plan, pretty much no matter what barring any emergency situations and sometimes things have to be altered a little to get it done, but that main thing is getting it done!
I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and she works with a girl who is single, lives at home with her parents and works a full time job. The girl is heavy and wants to lose weight, but every time my friend invites her to walk or zumba or anything she says the same, she doesn't have time. There was an evening not to long ago that everything in my plans had fallen through, so after closing the store at 7pm, I grabbed a quick protein bar for fuel, changed clothes and hit the cemetery for a walk/run. It was 30 some degrees, the wind was blasting my face, and it wasn't a blast, but I did it, I made time even if I didn't really have it or want to. I should have been in my pajamas having a warm dinner and watching tv, but I had to put my workout first, I had to focus on my needs, and at that time it was my workout.
What do you need to focus on? Who or what do you need to put 2nd for a minute today so that you can be the best you tomorrow??
