52 day streak

Thursday, April 04, 2013

I started doing SP videos each day as a means to do "something" however small each day. Most days it was easy to do a short video - other days I really had to force myself to spend 10 minutes - only 10 minutes to do the video. I just checked and I've been doing it now for 52 straight days. Now I've often added my own cardio on top but this was just an added bonus.

Today Week 3 day 2 - 28 day bootcamp "Bootcamp: 10-Minute Lower Body Blast with Dumbbells" emoticon

Traveling this weekend will make it a challenge as we'll be in a car most of the weekend. I'm hoping I can continue my streak .

Tonight - swimming and aqua aerobics planned. I have always had difficulty doing a full squat on land. This past week I've started doing my squats in water and what a difference. Not only do I have the 12 times resistance from the water but I also seem to be able to do it much easier. As I was waking up this morning I really felt last nights squats which made me smile. I'm always trying to do things a little differently and given I have to do most of my exercise in the water there are so many variations then just swimming laps (which can get boring after a while).

Have a great day.

For me, to have any long streak, is a miracle and 53 days, is incredible!! I hope you have some kind of special reward set up for when you reach a particular number of days, and a plan if you ever miss a day because of some uncontrollable thing (e.g., serious illness; computer failure). You are an inspiration!

I signed up to train for a 5K and I am scared to death to miss a day in the training since it is for 5 weeks only. Thanks for inspiring me. emoticon emoticon Love, Chelsea
