Go ahead, just google holidays for a particular day any you'll come up with some odd things, but today's seems like common sense.
Today is Vitamin C day.
You can get vitamin C from many sources. The orange may be the most obvious one, but there are many more. Some of the highest sources of vitamin C are cantaloupe, kiwis, mangos, papaya, pineapple, strawberries and watermelon. Vitamin C is not only in fruits, but many vegetables also such as broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, green and red peppers, spinach and other dark leafy greens, sweet and white potatoes and winter squash. You may also be able to find it fortified in cereals.
Vitamin C is great for repairing your body. It helps form a protein that is used to make skin, tendons, ligaments and blood vessels. It's great for healing wounds. It's great for teeth! Vitamin C is a great antioxidant. The body does not store vitamin C and can not make it on it's own, so make sure you're eating plenty of foods that contain the vitamin.
