Eat, Sleep, Work, Play, Repeat...

Switching from day shift yesterday to night shift tonight on five hours' sleep. I'm too excited to fall asleep easily and being home with my family doesn't really help - once a mom, always a mom. :) Soooo, I got up, had some breakfast, went back to bed, now I'll do a few chores around the house, play on the laptop a bit and then go back to bed. :) I'll need all the rest I can get to pull through a 12 hr shift (I am so not a night person) so I'll keep repeating this cycle to get as much rest as I can while also clearing things off my mind and keeping my tummy pleasantly happy. LOL The weather's nice today, it looks like, so I'll try to get some walking done, too, just to help induce even better sleep with that fresh air and activity. :)

    Excited for you and the new job. When I worked nights (with some 12 hour shifts) I ate a lot of apples and whenever possible I would do some walking, especially during my dinner break.....I had better luck with feeling "alive" during those nights than if I sat whenever I could during the night. Did have trouble sleeping during the day so most of the time I lacked sleep. Good luck, dear friend. I have faith in you that YOU can do this. Take care of yourself....are you one of those people that can perk up after a nap? If so this will help.... emoticon
