Last night, my boyfriend stayed over. His and mine is a strange sort of relationship; very "sensible" as we put it. We're both very romantic and passionate people, but having both been seriously hurt in the recent past and our last relationships, we're both scared of going into anything too fast, or investing too much into a relationship, which may sound a bit sad or unfulfilling but it's actually perfect for us. We had a rather intense conversation last night about some of the things I've been doing lately, which I'm not going to detail too much here but basically his concern was that I have been trying to change who I am for him; the fact is I'm changing for me, but I'm changing into a person who, coincidentally, is closer to his ideal partner. I've said since I met him that I'm currently changing a lot of things about me for the better, and this is just one of them. We talked about other stuff, and he was very sweet. My bedtime routine included quality time with him, but I didn't get to sleep until about 1am. We chilled together right before sleep, and had warm milk with cinnamon (though he put sugar in mine too) and read together.
I slept really well and heavily, and woke up at about 7:30 (with the help of his work alarm!) feeling a bit tired but full of energy once more. I had nice dreams last night of him helping me with my computer and giving me advice on the right car for me (I don't drive, but know I'll have to learn soon). I woke up snuggled with him, which is definitely my favourite way to wake up!
Today is cold and the sky is miserable so I won't be getting any washing on the line, so my goals today are to sweep and clean the floor and to 50 bit of washing/drying up. I also want to spend 3 hours or more working on my latest knitting project (which is time sensitive) and an hour working on a secondary project for a friend (smaller, but similarly time sensitive). Finally, I want to spend 30 minutes organizing my study plan for my college work. The rest of the day I don't mind; I can chill in front of Skyrim or whatever. I would like to do my 30 minutes of cardio (thank you wii fit!) and challenge work-out video for today, but that's heavily dependent on whether it will play properly for me today!
