Today I turn 60, and really excited about it! I lost 55 lbs some 8 years ago, but over the last two years let 24 of them sneak back. I am well on my way to losing them all, thanks in large part to SparkPeople and the Nutrition Tracker :). I am pumped about the next phase of my life, and loving it all.

I will be resuming Isagenix for my shakes starting next week too, and am really pumped about that as well. They have changed their formulations, and suit me to a tee. It's how I lost all that weight a few years ago, and it works!!

But the most exciting thing to me is that I have finally got a grip on FOOD and how to handle it. Onward and upward, um, downward weightwise at least lol

Good points all: I have a close friend who was diagnosed with diabetes three years ago, and went through the learning process with her then. IMHO, 'the diabetes diet' should simply be promoted as 'The Human Diet' and we would alllll be much better off :)

Glad ur getting it back off. I've been reading Richard Bernstein MD's "The Diabetes Diet" and watching his lectures on YouTube. He has had Type 1 diabetes since he was 12 and he is 78 now and in wonderful health. I've got INSULIN RESISTANCE and so I don't want Type 2 diabetes. They think alzheimer's is a form of Type 3 diabetes, so I'm not wanting to get that so I've changed my eating habits so I can get the rest of my weight off. I'm 63, so it isn't about looks anymore.
