Never. Give. Up.

Thursday, April 04, 2013

I may only be 28, but I've had a million chances to give up in my life. There's a long, ugly story behind that statement, but that's not the point I want to make here. There are days (yep, we've all had them) when our goals seem SO FAR AWAY, and we have that thought that it might just be easier to give up. Being unhappy or disappointed is never easy. Sometimes we forget that.

There are many days where I need to remind myself of the how, what, and why I am doing what I'm doing to get where I want to go.

I have this hanging on the wall in my bathroom:

So, here are a few things I'd like us all to remember on those particularly craptacular days when quitting sounds like not such a bad idea...

First of all...

I happen to have a life that I'm very happy with. I've worked my *ahem* off to get where I am right now. I want to have a healthy body so that I can enjoy all of the good things I've worked so hard for, for a nice long time to come.

This is my new motto. I think it's going up on the wall as well.

And then...

Oh yeah, and don't forget...

And one more thing before we go...

One Day At A Time, I can love myself enough to NEVER GIVE UP.

I recently posted something on one of my team threads about not giving up on oneself. Your blog reinforces that. Thanks for sharing and thanks for all the inspirational quotes!
