Life is really coming together

Thursday, April 04, 2013

Wow, what a difference a year makes! Last year I was sitting in Idaho, 2500 miles away from my children, mother brothers and future husband. I had just ended a bad co-dependent relationship of 8 years that took me away from my family. Through the beauty of facebook, I reconnected with my 1st love I have known since I was 8 years old. We had a child together 33 years ago, but because I was so young my parents kept us apart and raised him as their own.

My 1st love flew me and my dog to Virginia, we were married 3 days later, I reconnected with my daughter I hadn't seen in 15 years. All that is amazing as it is. But it gets better! I have managed to lose 7 lbs and 5 inches since joining spark a month ago. The icing on the cake? I just accepted a job with the very well respected Fortune 21 company my daughter works for, so now we will be seeing each other every day during the week, even though we live in different states!

I have my precious Lord to thank for all these beautiful blessings. I called out to Him as I was spiraling out of control 8 years ago. He lifted me up out of the pit when He saw I was serious about it. He has never left me but been there to guide me back into the productive meaningful life I had thrown away after my daughter was kidnapped 16 years ago by her father. He has been patient and never pushy, letting me progress at my own pace, but carefully placing wonderful people in my path to strengthen me for the journey. His ultimate touch was reuniting me with my son's father, the man I was supposed to marry way back in 1979.

Words can't describe how happy I am. I am finally at peace and can honestly say I am looking forward to my Golden Years! Thank You Jesus, You are my Hero!

Wow - what a story you have! Indeed, what a difference. Each of those steps in your past made you into what you are today, and for that, we are grateful!
