...........and another thing on my journey to a better me

Wednesday, April 03, 2013

went out with the hubby last night to famous daves for dinner and I decided that I would have some bread pudding for dessert. OMG I got home to realize that it has a whopping 1700 calories per serving!!!!!!!! I could not believe and am soooo upset. My body is down in the dumps as a realization of consuming all of those calories as it put me nearly at a one pound weight gain for a days worth of food. I chalk the occurence up to an experience and will continue to move forward.

Sometimes it is so crazy how the little things add up over time. I know thats how I ended up at my starting weight. Even two extra tablespoons of dressing can be a set back. Dont put yourself down though, make sure to treat yourself here and there. emoticon

Live an learn. I've found that when I kniow where we are going, I look online and figure out the calories of things I like ahead of time so I don't get surprises like the one you had. I've done what you did. It happens. Start fresh and don't look back!

Remember, the next meal or snack you have is your next opportunity to make healthy eating decisions. Don't take an "all or nothing" attitude, but learn as you go. Be proud of what you've accomplished so far.
