Feeling Close to God...Yet somewhat alone

Wednesday, April 03, 2013

I have an active prayer life and feel very close to God. Yet there are moments when I feel alone. It is that time alone that gives me time to meditate and reflect. While there are not many people with me at times, there are a host that I can reach out to.

I need to count my blessings, my friends, church family, family, and all those who wish me well. I have several new friends over the last 7 years who have become family.

I reread some Henri Nouwen. I also made plans to visit a mother and daughter in my parish. I want to share communion with them. Today I wrote a prayer for them and attempted to include some of our liturgy from Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter. I want the communion to be about Jesus and the promise of hope. With God all things are possible!

I need to write that again...With God all things are possible...my surgery, my care, my husband's caregiving, and so much more. Love and peace make all the difference.

Yes, it is such a blessing that we always have God with us.
It must be so hard for those that do not realize that.

When alone, I, too reflect and meditate. Counting my blessings.
Sharing ourselves, with others helps, tremendously.

Prayers for you and your family.

Chris

Yes, with God all things ARE possible. I know the mother and daughter will have a special communion with you at the helm.
