My day fell off track

Wednesday, April 03, 2013

Well, the first part of the day went as planned today. I walked the dog first thing, then changed and headed off to the gym. I decided to skip the ST today as I am still sore from Monday. So, I ran 5k in 31:01, then pedaled 10k in 30:02. Walked home the long way. Had supper with my neighbor, and that is where my day got derailed. She called me half an hour after we ate asking me to drive her to the ER, as she was in so much pain she was doubled over. She couldn't even walk into the ER, I had to go get a wheelchair. I stayed for three hours, but then I needed to come home and walk the dog, so I left her there with the understanding that she will call me when they release her. It might be after midnight before she calls though. The hospital she had me take her to is notorious for how slow it is. Anyway... I came home, walked the dog, and now I am just sitting here waiting. I just hope she is okay!

I wouldn't say your day fell off track so much as life made an appearence. Sometimes it is like that and we must work around an obsticle. You did a fine job. Hope your friend is okay and that your day leveled out for you. Love Cooper and hope he got all his walks in too. Bless you for being a kind neighbour.

It sucks that you were derailed, but for a very good reason. You're a great neighbour!

Sounds like she might be having issues with gallstones? That can be so painful and comes on very quickly. Hope you are able to get some sleep tonight.

So nice that you were there for your friend when she called, that you drove her to the hospital and are going to go back and pick her up ... I'm sure your support means a lot to her. I hope she's okay...

And that sounds like a great workout you had; way to go!!!
