My ankle pain has been plagueing me. Now I feel aching and fatigue threw both legs every day and my wrists/forearms. Even wearing socks makes them hurt. They feel swollen and burning a lot by the end of the day. I am pretty sure it's from riding with the wrong shoes in January and then without padded gloves during the winter. I see a doctor tomorrow. I have never had pain like this before. I have felt very discouraged but am hoping she will tell me what is wrong and how to fix it and that riding won't hurt it. I have a metric century planned for april 27th but I am thinking i dont have enough training in to make it. we'll see tomorrow...
i haven't been on here in awhile but got a friend request from Gwen and she had such a positive and energetic personality that energized me :)

I finally got a heart rate monitor- I haven't been able to use it yet but am hoping to ride this weekend if the doctor okays. I have been wanting to start to try and run too but haven't been able to since I hurt my ankle/foot in January. Can't wait to heal and start working out again.

My weight hasn't dropped at all but i have definitely toned my muscles from all the riding and hiking. I need to work on my abs though. my weak spot. i am anxious to see if the sports medicine specialist has good news for me tomorrow....

I'm not sure doing the metric is a good idea at this point but that is for you to decide. What part of the country do you live in? I live in near Chattanooga and it is just now getting to riding weather.
