April Goals 2013

I am working on these things in April:
1) Eat at least 2 fruits and 2 vegetables servings every day, with a special push for weekends!
2) Weekly average of calories is within recommended limits.
3) At least 20 minutes of physical activity six of seven days. (More is ok!)
4) Lose one pound. (Currently 167#) (Yikes, did I just post that?)

Week of April 1st
1) Track fruit and vegetable consumption each day. Have a carrot during the weekend.
emoticon tracked and had two veg and two fruit all but one day. Yay!
2) Save 100 C per week day at least 1x in the week.
emoticon saved C's on TWO days.
3) M swim, Tu boot camp, W swim, Th bootcamp, F walk/st, Sun walk.
emoticon swapped Sat. And Sun. and got all the workouts!
4) emoticon Lost 0.5 lb!

Week of April 8th
1) Have one more vegetable serving per day than last week. Have a salad on one day and a carrot on another day of weekend.
2) Save 100 C per week day at least 2x in the week.
3) M AM walk/st, Tu AM swim, W PM walk w/Seaside Sparkers(!), Th AM swim, F PM walk/st, Sun walk. (I am on call for jury duty, so my workouts might change if Iím called to serve.)

This week was so tough. I lost track of what I did or didn't do. I did get called for jury duty and it created another type of week for me. I didn't have much of a plan for it. At first I was careful about what I ate and I even wore my step counter. In the future I will need to figure out what to do when things get differet. For now, I'll just move on and be happy because on Sunday I went ocean swimming!

Week of April 15th
1) Have one more vegetable per day than last week. Have a salad on two days between F-Sun.
2) Save 100 C per week day at least 4x in the week.
3) M swim, Tu boot camp, W swim, Th bootcamp, F walk/st, Sun walk.

The jury duty malaise carried on to this week. We reached a judgment on Monday, but my planned meals did not exist for the week, so I ate out. I did eat salads and fruits. I'm not sure how many. I skipped M & Tu & Sunda workouts. The scale was up two pounds. blah. I need to get back to it.

Week of April 29th
1) Have 2 vegetables and 2 fruite per weekday. Have a salad on two days between F-Sun. Have a fruit on each day from F-Sun.
2) Save 100 C per week day at least 5x in the week and bring in weekly average of consumption to within goal.
3) M swim, Tu boot camp, W swim, Th bootcamp, F walk/st, Sun walk.
4) Weigh 166 or less

Results:
1) All but Friday was on track. I had fruit on each weekend day and vegetables too.
2) I saved about 200 C per week day b/c I set my upper limit lower
3) I swam in the bay on Sunday and did the other workouts too!
4) 166.2 #

Your goals are ambitious, as always, but I know you will do your best. Good on you!
