April Spring Cleaning

I like to clean my closet a couple of times a year. It's a walk in closet and when it gets so I can't walk in, I know it's time to clean it! So I tackled that job yesterday. While I was in there, I dumped out a container of clothes and went through them. First I packed my winter clothes into the container, then looked at the ones I had put in the container. They were clothes I couldn't wear last year when I was 10 pounds heavier. So I tried them on and put the ones that fit into the hamper to be washed and packed the ones that are still too small back into the container. It felt good to find tops and pants that I couldn't wear last year at this time!

Of course, trying on clothes meant I had to look in the mirror. And that reminds me that I really need to work on the next 10 pounds! I don't like seeing my big stomach and big rear! So if you haven't done it, go really look at yourself in the mirror and think what you could look like with 10 pounds less. It might not be a big physical change (people might not notice) but your clothes should fit better and you might be able to get into a smaller size, too.

Today I washed the clothes and hung them up. I've worked very hard on tracking food today and staying within limits. I did my exercise dvd for 20 minutes. I got a lot of steps in by putting away clothes one item at a time (that's 100 steps for each 2 way trip). So I reached my step goal for the day and am over it. I want to lose 10 more pounds. I really, really want to lose 3 more pounds so I'll be in the 160's!! And I want my clothes to look better because my fat areas are getting slimmer!

    Great idea about putting the clothes away one item at a time. Last year I wore nothing but hand me downs as I was too "plump" to fit in my own stuff. I am hoping this year will be different.

    I have been thinking lately how important it is to just move more in the day. Not dedicated exercise, just moving around getting things accomplished. Shortly I am going to make this a challenge for myself because I think it will really help.
