Cough, cough, gasp, etc.

Wednesday, April 03, 2013

I still have occasional outbursts of choking/coughing but it is much improved over a few weeks ago. I am hoping I will do better when I get on a larger dose of Norvasc.

I still am carrying lots of tissue, cough drops, nose spray, etc with me everywhere I go. I am starting to think it is allergies and the Claritin I have been taking for a couple of years just doesn't seem to be helping at all. I am staying well hydrated but noticed when I went to the thrift store yesterday I started in with the cough again. It is like a tickle in the throat...that doesn't go away very well even with inhaler, etc. Luckily, it occurs only about once every 1 to 2 hours as opposed to 3 to 4 times per hour when it was worse.

This stuff has stayed around far to long, with me, too! I wonder, too, if it's not allergies sometimes but nothing that I try gets rid of it completely! Hang in there!

Some things just don't let go easily. Stay on top of it and hopefully, you'll be done with this soon.

Like the person before me, your blog caught my eye. I haven't been following you but have you had the virus of the year? I still start coughing occasionally a month after having it. My dr. say "it lingers." I also have a friend who has been coughing longer than I have. Like you, I have allergies & asthma so think that is adding to the problem now. Good luck getting over your cough!

oh my, i'm glad to hear things are improving albeit slowly. keep hanging in there and avoid known trigger zones ( ie- stay away from other people's dust, thrift stores, yard sales, barns, and basements.......) your blog title caught my eye as it soundes like me and I was hoping for insight lol
