Lack of Motivation

Wednesday, April 03, 2013

Does anyone watch Breaking Bad? My BF and I are seriously addicted to that show lately. We don't have cable so we rented the seasons and are pretty much having Breaking Bad marathons at night when we get home from work. This makes it very hard to be up and moving (and I'm not a morning workout person). The weather is getting nicer which is going to make it easier b/c I love to go on walks and we have very active dogs that like to be walked.

What are your tricks for motivation?

Thanks guys :) I WILL get out and walk today. The sun is shining and I won't waste it.

I have not seen that show, but I know what it is like to get hooked on a favorite show! We become sofa queens sometimes lol But, as we all know, that is not healthy. May I suggest some workout challenges you might find on some of your Spark Teams? By taking park in some monthly challenges, you can track your progress, and find the motivation you are looking for! Before long, you will find the time to do what is healthy, and to do what is fun! Good luck!!!

What about having him commit to the same motivational activities as you. Take the dogs for a walk, together. Having someone else always helps to motivate me.

Your motivation comes when you make a commitment. You get to work every day right? You eat every day right? You have to make that same commitment to working out. Maybe say you have to work out for 30 minutes before you can watch a video or watch one and then walk and then watch another... only YOU can make yourself do anything. Mostly it comes when you realize the results are worth the work.
