Did good today staying in calorie range. My nutritional categories were a little off today -- well just not enough protein. I decided to try adding Whey protein into my diet on occasions like today when I haven't gotten enough protein, so went and bought some at the store today. I may try it tomorrow with my oatmeal. yum.
Drank all my water. CHECK
Exercised. CHECK (added a sticker to my calendar to indicate I worked out today)
-- actually got sidetracked and went to part of a salsa aerobics class at my gym (even though today was strength training day) -- but decided the class wasn't for me and left after about 15 mins and did about 30 mins of str training on my own. I have a giant notebook filled with all my training routines from when I worked with a trainer -- so need to get that out and sort through it to figure out where I can start up. So that's fun.
Got a PEDICURE today after work -- pink pink pink and a cute white flower one my big toe. hehe. Wanted a little relaxation and pampering treat this week.
Tomorrow -- I think I've got a mtg after work, so plan to bring workout clothes and do my running routine PLUS some strength training tomorrow afterwards.
I need to start getting to sleep earlier because I was reading about how lack of sleep can really work against you in the weight loss plan. Currently, I probably get about 6.5 hours, when I really could use about 8 hours. Tonight is not going to be an 8 hour night though -- too much left to get done tonight. So.. tomorrow the plan will be to try to get to sleep earlier.
It felt good to do some functional weight lifting once again -- it's been a long time since I've done it on my own. So I'm looking forward to going through my training book and figuring out where I can start up in there. I'm still trying to learn where everything is at my gym. In fact, my gym membership came with two free training sessions -- but I decided to put them off until I at least got myself a little more up to speed again.
Decided that I might want to take another kayak roll class before my big kayak outing coming up in a couple of weeks. Need to decide on that soon, as I think the next class is next weekend. Fun stuff!
