CAPS LOCK

Tuesday, April 02, 2013

I have actually quit reading a couple of people's blog because the caps bother my eyes so much. I don't know that it makes me feel like I am being yelled at, but it does hurt my eyes and give me a head-ache. I wonder if it effects anyone else that way.

It bothers my eyes too... sometimes even so much as to trigger migraine. Plus, I don't like getting yelled at :)

One of the docs @ work types her discharge instructions in caps. Annoying. But, I know some people can read them better. I have to admit, I've just about stopped reading "real books" - I can boost the font on my Ebooks when my eyes get tired.

Agree! I don't know why they want to use CAPS LOCK all the way, it's not like they handwritten their blogs, give me headaches! Same thing with mixing numbers, symbols and letters to form words, uhuh.

I don't know why folks write in all caps, I can take a bit of it but not too much. Like the picture--that about sums it up nicely!

Yes it does me too. And I do feel like I'm being yelled at when the words are all in caps, and like you, I usually won't read blogs that are all caps. Jus' sayn'

It does not really bother me. I don't consider it yelling when someone uses it all the time, but do when someone uses it for emphasis.

I have been wondering about the eyesight thing when I see it. It also might be to avoid having to capitalize words for those who are not good at typing.

Yes, it is often hard to tell why people lock their Caps.

It doesn't hurt my eyes-it's just plain hard to read for me. So I don't.

Know what you mean... I have a friend who always writes in large "All Caps"... I am wondering if she has an eyesight problem. The all caps gives a larger print for visually impaired. That is the excuse I give them.

This is a guess because it is not something that usually occurs.
Every once in a while no problem....all the time a problem may arise..when I first started on pc i did not know..tell them before you depart if you think they are a new user. And that is my two cents.

LOL!!!!! I DECIDED TO RESPOND IN CAPS.......really I just think that some people don't know it's considered shouting, or they don't know how to shut their caps lock off. It annoys me at times, but other times I'm ok with it. Not sure why.

I know what you mean but a few need to use caps because of their eye sight ,, so be gentle to others

affects yes but deal with this because of who they are

My sister does this...I think it's because she should use her bifocals and doesn't. So she compensates by locking her caps. I told her that it is considered yelling on the internet so I know what you mean!
