Feel the burn...

Uggh! I'm so happy I found SparkPeople and started taking healthy steps to change my life, but man!!! This is hard! Since I've started almost a week ago I haven't stayed within my calorie range. However, I have set aside almost an hour a day for exercising. I'm a bit surprised though because usually I can't find the motivation to workout. I'm proud of myself in that respect. I think my drive for working out has been my stress level recently. I've had to deal with a lot at work and I've found that exercising really takes the edge off a bit. Especially yoga. When I'm finished I feel energized and proud that I actually pushed through. Also it takes my mind off things for a while.

    I started with one element at a time, putting exercise into my life for the 1st month, so that I could make it a routine/habit. Then I started working on changing my food habits. I spent those 30 days researching and fixing healthier meals and learning how to portion my food.

Keep on tracking your food, but don't be so hard on yourself. You are exercising and that is great! It will all come together.
