I decided to change things up and run before I did any other exercises. I ran a mile in 7:39!!! Fresh legs do make a difference. I will do the same thing on Thursday and see if I can run a better time. My goal is to run a 6 minute mile by the end of the summer. Here is a summary of the rest of my work out:
I completed and tracked 3 cardio exercises and 5 strength exercises at http://www.sparkpeople.com/ - 2 minutes Jumping Jacks - vigorous, 28 calories burned, 45 minutes Walking: 3.5 mph (17 minutes per mile), 319 calories burned, 8 minutes Running or jogging: 7.5 mph (8 minutes per mile), 177 calories burned; Stretching / Flexibility Training (general), Pushups, Torso Twist Stretch, Leg Raises on Captains Chair, Abdominal Crunch Machine
Oatmeal and Orange Juice
Roast Beef Sandwich and water.
Protein shake and another apple.
Peanut Butter and Jelly (I'm still a big kid at heart, lol)
