First 10 miler and JILLIAN!

Tuesday, April 02, 2013

Yesterday I got home from a weekend of visiting family and a nice Easter! I hadn't run all weekend and decided to try and get out for a quick run, 3 miles, at about 7:30pm after 8 hours of driving. Before I got to the end of the street I decided to try to do the 8 miles I had planned for the weekend.
Once I got out of town and on a gravel road I'd never seen before, something odd happened. I thought why not try another 2 and go for an even 10 miles? Very strange for me. I usually struggle to finish the distances I have planned or am satisfied to do whatever is planned for the day.
It was a bit slower than I have been running (13:30 pace) but I still have a month before my HM to pick up the speed a bit. I walked the last mile as well so that is throwing my time a bit.
Kind of a cool day though!

And on another note, something SUPER AWESOME is happening on Thursday.
I AM GOING TO SEE JILLIAN MICHAELS. I am soooo excited!!! She's my favorite! I couldn't afford a ticket (at $100 each) and then yesterday there was a random Groupon for tickets that were half price. The 2 friends I watched Biggest Loser with all year got super excited too and the 3 of us bought tickets to go! And to top it off, my mom and dad paid for mine as my early birthday present. Woohoo!!

SCORE!!!!! On the ticket. That will be so much fun. And great job on the ten miler. The legs must have been rested up after your trip. It was great to see you and your family again. Loved it.
