Today's Kick in the Butt

I've had a good weekend nutrition and fitness wise. Actually, I went over on my calories in most days this weekend, but asside from giving into some cravings, I did really well.

I did go running 3 out of 4 days this weekend. The fourth was the day of the auction - up early and on the road. By the time we were home, I was exhausted and fell asleep early. Actually slept all night that night.

So I don't feel too bad about that.

So today's decision - running or the gym. Well, running doesn't cost me a thing. I don't even have to go anywhere to do it. Just go. Gym - I don't have a current membership. It only costs $50, but I don't think I even have that much left in my account anymore. Good thing payday is Friday.

So regardless, I am going to get my fitness in. I've also got some thoughts on the things to track for my progress. The scale and I are in a kind of hate hate relationship, so I want to stay away from it. I have been thinking of other measures. Measurements take forever to see, but I will begin to use them a bit. I have no idea what my goal measurements should be - I know gaining muscle in some areas will increase the measurement. Or at least it won't really change.

So for today, I don't really have to kick my own butt. I'm ready to go. As soon as I'm off work. Home to change and out running.

    Sounds like you had an awesome weekend!! I'm jealous you got that many runs in!

I don't have a gym membership either but I have some weights and little pieces of equipment at home that I use. I've found that by the time it would have taken me to get to the gym and start working out, I'm usually done, so I prefer working out at home. That is just me though. :)
