I had it all planed. 5 days off, yoga every day, create some art work, healthy groceries & spring clean the house. The weather was perfect. As perfect as April weather can be on the east cost of Canada. Plus seven degrees Celsius is practically shorts weather. I managed to get some spring cleaning done; we went for a trail walk with our son and the neighbors kids. We even took their dog. I manage to get 3 paintings done in the studio but no yoga. We did however take a ride out to see my grandparents. My grandmother is 84 and is in better shape then I am. She looks like a little porcelain doll. All 4 feet 11 inches of her is prim & proper with amazing posture. My son calls her Memere Blanche (White Grandma) She inspires me. I asked her what her secret was to living such a long healthy life. She raised her shoulders: ďBeets meĒ she said with a twinkle in her eye, a smirk on her face and glass of wine in hand. She has spunk! She still doesnít think she is old. She was getting her hair done at my momís salon a few years back and she took a close look at herself in the mirror. Iíve aged a bit in the last few years havenít I ? Your 82 what do you expect I thought. She is always up to date with the trends. Her home is more modern than mine. She is a very proud woman. She also informed me that she does yoga everyday morning for 30 min and has done so for the past 5 years.
So my week-end didnít go as planned and my weight lose wasnít great ( 0.4 lbs. )
With this monthís RISE and SHINE challenge, I am focusing on being proud of who I am, where I come from and paying homage to my grandmother. I to will do my yoga for 30 minutes every day.
