I am so sorry to those who have missed me posting my ballet blogs and have been wondering where the heck I went.
Injury. I now know that for years since I broke my spine I have been dealing with back joint problems, sometimes my sacroiliac on one side or the other seizes and other joints come into play too. The result is pain similar to that with a slipped disc.. but it isn't the disc.. although one of those might be involved too.
I have been having physiotherapy on my back.. I had to stop ballet... I had become lopsided and it was too difficult to continue with the joint issues. That does NOT mean I am not going back to ballet! I will as soon as I am passed fit.
I also had to stop swimming too for a period and could not walk for exercise either and now that I have made those changes to my life the not being able to drove me crazy. I am back to swimming but even then I am in more pain at the end than I was at the start.
I did get a crack in my back yesterday as I felt something slide into place and it has been better since then so I have started walking three times a day too. Plus swimming yesterday morning and tonight.
Exercise is my key, that and healthy eating, I simply can't control one without the other. The benefits of exercising are so immense that now it is I HAVE to be active, not I want to be. The stress relief alone makes such a difference, that, and the sense of acheivement.
I got a message from my class they miss me.. I miss them too. Please pray I get physically fit enough to be back in ballet class for the summer term.
