Quinoa is often thought to be a grain but it is classified as a seed according to the Plan. It is a great substitute for rice.
Having reached goal I felt comfortable enough to test something new, so I cooked up some quinoa, stir fried some veggies and added a pork chop. This was a double test - the quinoa and a carb-protein combo.

The quinoa and veggies were a wonderful combination - something to have more often. even DH likes it :)
The good news is that I'm not reactive to quinoa - another friendly food to add to the list!

Interesting. I must have missed that in my reading. I love quinoa so I'd love to test it soon.

Wonderful. Looks so good! It's yummy if you add veggie or chicken broth instead of water when you cook it too. Extra flavor and very little calories added.

    Looks yummy!
Hubby doesn't like quinoa, so it wouldn't probably work for most dinners here, but thanks MELINDA382, because I could have this as another breakfast alternative, if it tests friendly!

I recently tried quinoa as well. Love it served in place of rice, also used it in a stir-fry which was equally as yummy, haven't tried it as a breakfast cereal...yet.

Excellent! I also enjoy quinoa with a little coconut milk, berries and nuts for breakfast. It's so versatile. When you can't use wheat, it's a good place to turn. So happy you'll be able to continue enjoying quinoa.
