103 down, 15 to go!

Tuesday, April 02, 2013

In spring cleaning this week, I came across craft marbles that I didn't realize we still had. I've loved the idea of "pounds to lose/pounds lost" jars ever since I first heard of them forever ago, and so I decided to make my own, even if it's a bit late...

Awesome. I can't wait to finish emptying that first jar!

I copied your idea with the stones! Such a great visual motivator. I don't know my end goal so I have the Pounds to Lose jar filled with the number til my current goal. Love it! Thanks for the idea and congrats!

    Great Job, amazing loss.

I love your jars, I have mine on my dinning room table, every bit I take I see them lol, keeps me accountable when I am home and they are cute.

I tried that but I couldn't keep track of how many marbles were in each jar. I had to keep taking them out and counting, which took too much time. :-/

What a neat idea! I might try is as a visual to help me see the progress. I thought aboust 200 sticks of butter for 50 lbs but that sound rather gross. Good job. Thanks for the idea. emoticon

Love this! I'm getting close and should think about doing too (although to be honest the first thing that entered my head was using Hershey kisses as the tokens. Ouch! Maybe I have further to go on the lifestyle change way of thinking than I thought!!)

Anyway, you'll be there before you know it!

I love that idea too. The visual reminder is very effective. I also like the pictures that people have of so many pounds of butter or dog food or other bulk item (or books, I forgot about your picture!) that represents the weight that they have lost.

I am so impressed with your perseverance and attitude! Keep on sparking!
