Day #283 - So good, so blessed, so awesome

Tuesday, April 02, 2013

That's my life!

Workout yesterday - well the traffic was horrible going home and it took me well over an hour to make it to my end of town. I figured since it was Monday and around the time the gym gets pack I would be disappointed when I got there. So I choose yesterday as my work outdoors day. I put in my blog yesterday that at least one day a week I will do an outdoor workout and I accomplished that yesterday. I really, really enjoyed walking outside, forgot what that felt like. I set the timer on my phone for a 20 minute walk and reset to return in 20 minutes. I limited myself to 40 minutes as my back was giving me issues yesterday. I got this pain/discomfort in my right side again so I didn't want to get to far away and couldn't make it back. It was a bit hot but not uncomfortable. It rained/poured yesterday so I was glad that the gnats hadn't come out yet. I know today and tomorrow I definitely won't be walking outside. Can't stand it when the gnats are in my hair, nose and eyes.

I did cook dinner emoticon that's day #2. Yep I did it. I put some chicken in the oven before I left for my walk and when I came back it was ready. Quick, simple and good!!! I'm really trying this month to do much better than I had been doing. Now that I'm getting my eating together my desire to workout is in a slump! What's up with that? Can't I do both? I'm trying to regain my momentum with the workouts by changing things a bit. I was planning not to go to the gym all week and walk/wog outside but due to the flood of gnats I know I probably won't get back out until Thursday or Friday. But good thing I have an alternative to getting in my cardio. Previously i would just skip the workout because the gnats would always win!

I also need to get back to my squats/jacks and planks. I sort of slid down the mountain around the 20th of last month. (That's the last day I have checked off on my calendar as complete). I guess one good glance at my butt in the mirror can make you squat, lunge and anything else that will help (well I won't give details some of you may be eating or just finished eating). But let's just say I will be back to squatting TODAY emoticon Well Sparkers that's it for me today.

16 more days and I'm a year older!!! Oh I forgot to share how sweet my lil girl/young lady is. She got her first full paycheck Friday and when I walked out my house on Saturday morning (didn't hear the door bell ring) I see a big box marked pro flowers. My baby sent me some flowers with a note that said I was her greatest blessing and inspiration so she wanted to give me something to say thank you. AWWWW no I didn't cry but I'm so proud of her. She even shared with me how she used her new found blessing of having her own money to buy lunch for a homeless person. One thing she didn't forget is to pay her tithe to acknowledge and thank God for blessing her with a job. I'm a super proud parent of a beautiful heart.

You did an incredible job as a mom. because they don't make kids like that too much anymore!

It is so hard to do incredible at the nutrition and the exercise at the same time but just keep doing what you can. I hate gnats too! I get darn right pi$$ed off!
