Sounds like everyone's favourite line at a successful job interview, but the job is your life and you start fresh, every day!
How soon can you start your healthy lifestyle?
How healthy is your breakfast? I noticed an amazing trend at my new job. Surrounded by almost all men, each having physically demanding jobs, and almost all of them had the same food for morning break - a dish of cereal and a bottle of milk. My day would start at 4am, just to get there in time. My stomach wasn't ready for much. Having been a personal trainer and a sports trainer, I know the importance of refueling in the morning. I would at the very least try to have OJ or lemonade or almond milk right away. I'm still working on perfecting the breakfast cookie. :) Apparently I did but my son ate it before I got a chance to even taste it! Today's not so rushed and I want to eat more veggies, so I had two bowls full of salad for breakfast! Know your needs and find ways to meet them! Your life is an endurance event - you need to keep training to succeed!
Likewise, how soon can you start your fitness routine? If your morning is too rushed, at the very least try to throw in a couple extra steps as you run out to the car. Maybe run around it once before you get in and again when you get out. Just that much extra exercise could save your life as a little extra oxygen will help prevent falling asleep at the wheel, increase your driving awareness and abilities and then even help you perform better through your day. If you spend your days with kids, either your own or someone else', then you'll be teaching some great habits as you go if you get them to join you! :D
