Another Spring Day

Tuesday, April 02, 2013

Today is another spring moment for me. I have a meeting today about becoming a Parent Mentor for disability children in the school system. I don't know what is entails or how much time is done for this. Since my son was diagnosed with ADHD and Aspergers, I have been focused on making sure my son gets the best education he deserves. I have researched and make sure that his teachers are up to date with everything and anything. I want to share that with other parents and also learn more things that I may not have seen or heard. It doesn't hurt to check it out and see. Looking forward to it and getting out of the house in the morning air as well.

Enjoy the moment of your day,

I worked with many kids who had ADHD during the course of my career as a Speech and Language Therapist. (My son and grandson are also ADHD.) I also worked with toddlers and elementary students who were on the autism spectrum. I was fortunate to work with a great team and some wonderful and dedicated parents. These conditions are both difficult and rewarding. I wish you all the best. emoticon
