QUICK WEEKLY UPDATE

Tuesday, April 02, 2013

The last week of March was the second of the Spring, to find me gardening for 15-20 hours and keeping cardio kickboxing, in the mix.
It is also the second week that I have lost a pound! emoticon
So two pounds gone in March, after staying the same for awhile.

It looks pretty obvious that activity and lots of it, is the answer, at least for now.
Moving mulch, digging, bending, etc. is great and I am feeling stronger, by the day.

Kickboxing...I LOVE IT! Time flies and it is SO much FUN!!! emoticon I get a variety of workouts from beginner to advanced on my Cable On Demand...Fitness workouts.
They also have a wide range, from dancing to weights, to boot camp style.
No excuse to get tired of doing the same thing. This along with the great workouts on Sparkpeople makes working out at home a breeze.

I recently found out that one of my medications makes it hard to get my heart rate up.
I still can and do, but I wonder how much this changes things. Silly me... I did know that I take it to keep my heart rate lower, so it should have been obvious. emoticon

I also have been continuing, with getting ready for the Winter Olympics, 2014. Just a little challenge that a few of us are doing, to get fit in time for them.
We are all making progress and I am so proud of my teammates and thank them for keeping me pumped up. emoticon

My Azalea bed, that I volunteer in, is looking good, but it has been so cold that they are a bit late, this year.
A previous blog mentioned that I will be having a photo shoot, in front of the Azaleas and I am hoping to celebrate a bit more weight loss, by then.

Well, it is off to more gardening! Making the world pretty, one yard at a time, while getting fit and healthy.

MAKE IT FUN AND GET IT DONE!

    Hi!
Nice to meet you!
I've discovered I like kickboxing too! Have you tried The Turbo Jam DVD series? I do them in my living room. music blasting when it wont bother the rest of the family LOL Lots of fun, modifiyable (is that a word?) and lots of sweating and not too dancey ( another mystery word lol) Anyway, keep at it...you were funny with the comment about a little bit up, and a little bit down in the weight dept. your right its better than always up. You'll reach that goal of going down if you keep doing all those things you mentioned your doing.
I just got started beginning of this year and I've had some success lately...definitely Spark ppl friends... and tracking....Huge help!

Oh Chris! I need some of your cheer and some of your enthusiasm. We still have snow on the ground here, but there is more bare ground showing all the time. I did plant some herbs here in the house. Nice to see something sprouting up all fresh and new!
