Attacking April

True to form for me, I am shrinking in measurements, but not on the scale. I am okay with that! My clients are the same. It's such a weird thing for people who are obsessed with that number to let go of.

I want my clients to learn how to eat properly...the RIGHT foods 80-90% of the time, the right portions 100% of the time, and to identify what send them into a spiral...we all have been there...DIETING IS NOT THE ANSWER! Yet so many people believe that eating healthy means dieting! We have really messed people up in past years. You may have reduced calories...but it's the same food you should be eating for life!

If you move can eat more...but as you get older if you're still eating the same amount and not moving anymore, or moving less, YOU WILL gain weight! It's part of aging!

It is a calories in vs calories out...but it also is healthy clean choices and staying away from processed/boxed/bagged etc items as much as possible. Some people feel it's soooo hard to eat clean...maybe SQUEAKY clean...but if you think about eating ...if it came out of the ground or had a should be fine...your treat items usually are processed...but even those you can clean up! The way your body feels not having that extra stuff in it is amazing...for bloating, for pain, for weight loss, for blood pressure, etc... But I don't see it as a diet.

So my clients and I have started an APRIL ATTACK contest this month. I give them a point for the following items daily:

1 point for moving the amount of time I have given them
1 point for staying on plan and eating within calories/nutritional breakdown
1 point for taking a 1/2 hour out of the day to spend ALONE doing something for yourself.
1 Point for getting in at least 2 liters of water
and 1 bonus point for 8+ hours of sleep!

I will be doing spot prizes and prizes at the end for the most points.
This contest makes everyone even and able to earn the same amount of points.
Many people really OVER indulged during Easter break - which is 4 days long here! So DETOX all the sugar, fat and salt now....but new beginnings...ATTACKING APRIL so we can be A-MAY-ZING in MAY!
