April 1st

No fooling-it was pretty cold this morning for the first day of the month. We had
snow yesterday afternoon and the wind was raw. But the day improved.
Lots to do after the long weekend. But I muddled through and managed
to finish most of it before I left the office. DS was just getting ready to
go back to college so I helped him get his things organized. A quick
salad for supper before EMT class. A good review of the basics.
Our neighbor's daughter had a baby girl this morning. They emailed
us a picture and the parents looked very happy. They are both in
high school and the grandparents have all agreed to help the two
to raise their baby daughter and finish school. Her mom runs a daycare
so I am sure that will help a little. She may come home with the
baby tomorrow. Now to find an appropriate baby gift.
Have a terrific Tuesday and thanks for stopping by. HUGS!

Being a very YOUNG mother myself the first time around at age 18 I know what these kids have ahead of them. Thank goodness they have supportive and helpful parents. Mine were pretty shell shocked over the news but did their best to be supportive. I lasted for 10 years with that marriage and was probably fairly happy for the first 7. After that we grew far far apart and I think our little girl suffered the insecurities. Thankfully I met my DH very shortly after my divorce and we have been two peas in a pod for the past almost 35 years coming this May. I'm sending love and light to these two young parents and their beautiful sweet you are to get them a gift.

I hope your Spring comes for good in a very short time...I know you must be tired of winter by now.

    Hugs! emoticon

It is good to hear that the family is supportive and hopefully this will give these kids a chance to grow up and become good parents themselves.
I hope you have had a good day today-our weather has finally turned around and we are back to or a little above normal-82 for a night today. Hoping to get some rain Wed night into Thur. It is much needed.

The cold weather here is quite a contrast to last year! Maybe we will have more rain and more moderate temps this year! Hugs!

It was windy and cold here yesterday too. (And I had been lured into thinking that Spring was here!) The good side to that is that the ground is not muddy yet so I was able to take an off-road walk yesterday afternoon; I'll live with our brief return to winter.

    Have a great Tuesday!!

Hopefully we'll be due for some nice warm spring weather real soon. Know what you mean about getting back to normal after the hustle & bustle of Easter weekend. I was doing the same thing. At least the neighbor girl chose life for her baby, which is a blessing. I know so many people who married their HS sweetheart and are still happily married to this day....some 40 years later. Even tho it seems precarious, it's completely possible that these kids can make a go of it. You'll find something cute for that new baby, I'm sure!!! emoticon emoticon

Glad your day went okay. Being Monday AND April 1 . . . there was plenty potential there to be otherwise.

Mine was okay too. I got outside and moved some more dirt (er, mud) . . . the new pond is a good long-term workout program for me :)

One of my 'goals' for April is to remember to BREATHE! and spend a few minutes out on the back porch each morning enjoying the changes that Spring brings.

Hope you find that little baby girl a suitable gift. emoticon
