Well, I'm back home from PA after a nice long weekend with my family. I'm sad to be back, every time I go home it reminds me how much I miss it. Joe and I did talk about moving back... but that's another story for another blog!
I've got to get back on track with my healthy eating (Paleo, or similar) and exercise, and I NEED to keep myself accountable! I made up a calendar for April that includes a workout for every day (aside from Sundays which I've reserved as a rest day). On Mondays and Wednesdays I'm going to take a class at work called Step, Sweat, and Sculpt (the description is "This class mixes higher intensity cardio with lower intensity weight training using a STEP and light hand held weights. A great workout for maximizing fat burning"). On Tuesdays and Thursdays I'm going to do a workout with Stacy and another coworker. Fridays and Saturdays I'll do some strength exercises at home.
I'm setting a mental goal to aim for 8 to 10 pounds lost each month. I would LOVE to be down 40 by the time we go away in August. 30 is my absolute lowest that I'll accept. I need to stop accepting these little 5-8 pound losses and then getting off track and gaining everything back. This time, it's going to stick. Joe's on board as well so that's helpful and I think we'll make it a little competitive once we get into the swing of things.
Anyway, I'm tired... been a long day of travel and grocery shopping. I'm not tired in the "I'm sleepy" sense...just tired in the "I need to go lay down and do nothing" sense. Happy April!
