Loss of endurance and training!

It is frightening how much endurance i have lost since October. I used to push through jillian michaels workouts, turbo fire etc. I did walk away the pounds today and was huffing and puffing and sweating like a pig! No worries though i'm not beating myself up, it is just a fact that I have lost some endurance and will have to work my way back up.

I'm going to work as hard as I can to get back into decent shape for this summer. Last summer I did an awesome 8 mile hike among several others. I want to go hiking with my two best girlfriends for my birthday weekend. I have about 6 weeks and I think i can get back into decent enough shape to handle some gentle hikes.

I batch cooked about two weeks worth of healthy dinners today to store in the freezer, no excuses for eating junk! The spark turkey chili recipe was DELICIOUS!! I just have to keep focused and really work on rebuilding my healthy habits. I've done it before and I know I can do it again.

    You know, it's also amazing how quickly the body remembers the exercises and it does come back fast. The hills that had my lungs screaming are now nothing more than a reminder to breathe in rhythm and plow through. Just read an article that to focus on breathing not only gets you more oxygen but keeps your brain from focusing on pain and weakness. I'm gonna try it, see if it helps.

You'll be hiking...not a problem!

Oh, I wish I could batch cook more. Need a bigger freezer!

    Yay to healthy habits!!!
I love that you made weeks worth of frozen dinners. Will you post to my page and let me know what you made? I'd love some inspiring ideas.
