Life is so good, that is what I was thinking as the breeze gently tugged at my face. It is hard to believe that I am actually on a river cruise on the Swan River in Western Australia.
We are in the town of Framantle. It is a wonderful little sea port. We have so much packed into todays outing. First we went to the old prison to check out all the ghosts and see it all for ourselves. Am I a true believer of ghosts now, Not, but I did have a few chilling moments.
Our next stop was the War Memorial and a real highlight for me. I enjoy anything with a history. If you ever come to Perth, it is a must see.
The Maritime Museum was a stop for a lifetime. Though I am not much into ships and museums, this place had spectacular views of the water. A picture view of the Indian ocean. WOW, it is all so breath taking, and I didn't even mention all the homes along the river on our way here. Needless to say, even virtual, I couldn't afford one of these homes.
You should see all the Yachts here. They are so big and beautiful. Now, that would be the life, cruising from port to port, enjoying the good life.
At the fishing Harbour we went for lunch. A nice little café where our leader said we should try the seafood. Now I am a lobster person and I get it only on New Years Eve, if I am lucky so you know I went for that. It was so tasty. My room mates kept taking their fork to it. I had to tell Joan no more, get your own. (grin) I had plenty to eat .
, well I had to try something exotic too, right?
Now as we head back to Perth and our apartment, I sit on the deck reflecting on all I saw. I fill complete, happy, content and so at peace with my inner self. What a day! Now for some much needed sleep and getting into the bathroom before Joan and Bonbon do. LOL
Thanks to Ann, our fearless leader that has given us this Trec. For all the hard work and time she has put into it and for helping us incorporate more exercise and movement into our days. She makes it fun!!!
