I love the month of April! It reminds me of new beginnings! It makes sense to make some new goals and reconnect with the old. I'm a quarter way into my weight loss so no looking back now only forward!

As I was scanning through some articles on SP a slide show caught my eye. (Secrets of successful Weightloss) I wrote down the sub titles so I could add my own take on what I read.

1.Know how much you're eating
I've never been successful at tracking yet I know it's the number one way to make weight loss successful.

2. Don't skimp on Strength Training
Gaining muscle helps our bodies lose fat. By doing Strength training on a regular bases our bodies will remain strong and healthy.

3. Be a goal getter
Goal setting is what we need to do to make our weight loss happen. Goals keep us focused on the end result.

4. Make exercise fun
You have to find an exercise regimen that you like or you wont stick to it. Make exercise fun. Try new classes. Find an exercise buddy. Take your exercise to the park. Listen to uplifting music. Just have fun.

5. Eat more fruit and vegetables
Fruits and vegetables are just good for you. Make sure you get plenty.

6.Move it to lose it
Move alot and move often. You can't burn in calories just thinking of exercise so make sure you put your thoughts into action. There are plenty of times I don't want to go to the gym but then I remember how good it makes me feel when I'm finished. Move..Move..Move...

7. Start small to achieve big results
Make small changes instead of going gung ho! You are more likely to stick with your plan if you do. Losing 1 pound a week ends up to a greater number in the end!

8. Mix it up to keep it up
Change up your workout to keep your body guessing. Change up your workout so you don't get bored.

9. Make a Plan
Plan your meals, plan your exercise. Put it on your calendar so you know you will do it. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

10. Sneak in more exercise
Take the stairs, do squats while brushing your teeth, jumping jacks during commercials. The more you move the more you lose.

11. Get Cooking
Cooking healthy meals at home saves money and calories
Find a new recipe and get cooking

12. Tap into Positive People
Positive people are contagious. Use positive people to help boost your motivation towards weight loss. Connecting with Positive people will help you stay positive

13. Stop dieting
Make your weightloss journey a healthier lifestyle. Diets end! Healthy lifestyle lives on.

14. Look forward not backward
Move on when you have a set back. Just because you fall off the wagon doesn't mean you have to stay. Move on and make better choices

My April goals: 1.Track my food on daily bases so I know what I'm eating
2. Continue to Strength train and challenge my body
3. Eat more fruits and vegetables
4. Move more and every chance I get
5. Plan my meals and my grocery list
6. Continue to stay positive with my weight loss.

How bad do I want it? I want it real bad!
