So far 2013 has proven to be a daunting year. Every month I make a new start only to have a some small physical setback. Last month was one week in the hospital because my body was apparently fighting some infection. I knew I was feeling "off" but figured it was stress and overwork. No time to be tired, so I just kept going until I dropped. Literally passed out twice in the middle of the night and scared my family.
Good news that came out of that week in the hospital was that my blood pressure and heart are great thanks to the almost 2 years of exercise and healthy lifestyle choices. Cholesterol is low. And my wacky thyroid that grew nodules and caused my hormones to fluctuate has been shrinking on it's own and hormone levels are good. So, I feel like living proof that not only has these changes in my lifestyle helped my lose weight, but has in fact made me a healthier person all around.
Now, I am determined to kick 2013 in its butt and not have anymore setbacks. Let's get this started.
