I'm still kicking!

Monday, April 01, 2013

As you may or may not know-- about a month ago, I blacked out and banged my knee up pretty bad.

Doctor ordered me to take it easy and add more salt into my diet.

...this was not an easy adjustment for me to make, and I learned that old habits sometimes DIE hard.

Needless to say-- I haven't been eating the way I should, or working out the way I should, either. In fact-- I wouldn't be surprised if I gained some weight from this whole ordeal.

Time to get back on track!

...with HUGE high hopes that the dizzy spells stop! (they keep happening when I work out....any suggestions?!)

On a positive note-- my knee feels much better.

This weight loss journey surely is that--- a journey. People often say how proud they are of me or ask me "whats your secret?!"

Well here's my secret... I learn from my mistakes-- and boy, do I make mistakes!

On a side note-- got a new phone and tried to download the sparkpeople app-- it isn't free anymore?! not cool :(

So friends-- I am still here, kicking and screaming and trying my best to get back at it!! Thanks for everyone who checked in on me!

Make sure you're hydrated and you're getting plenty of food! Glad to hear you're feeling better though! Bummer the ap isn't free anymore...oh well, I've paid more for less I'd be willing to bet! :)

You need to go to a doctor and have a really good physical. Weight loss may have also lowered your blood pressure!

A good but worrisome side effect.

Don't fool around with it. My DD had blackouts from drinking little water and cutting back in salt. I watched her (kept her from) fall into a display in a store. Had I not caught her she could have had serious cuts to her face or eye damage. As it was she cut her arm.

She had a bunch of tests with the cardiologist, learned to drink a lot! Not a bad price to pay for safety.

I'm glad you checked in and are still "around". Sorry to hear about the blackouts/dizzy spells. I hope the doctor can help. If you don't have anything luck there, try a nutritionist and/or personal trainer for advice.

Wow, I hope you find out why you keep getting dizzy, just be careful, and I'm glad your knee is feeling better. Yeah, when I got a new phone, I found out the app wasn't free anymore, but I actually like it better than the free one!

Have told your doctor that you still get dizzy when exercising? Is your blood pressure particularly low? I'd stick with the doctor until I found out just what was causing the dizziness.

Good luck getting back on track and finding out just what your challenges are.
