Looking for work

Monday, April 01, 2013

I am looking for work from home or evening jobs. Not because I dislike where I am or the field I'm in but rather because all of my remaining course requirements for my degrees (aside from 2 classes next semester) are offered neither online or at a time I am not working. I at this point will have no choice but to either quit school or quit work by next January. I am considering taking the full student loans available and setting it aside to pay bills when Spring semester rolls around... But I am looking for another job and hoping I can find something that is doable. The earliest I could start work at a regular job is 1 pm if classes keep mostly the same times as this semester. Working from home is more practical but harder to find. Many places that will do it won't hire in Alaska... Why you ask? Wages are higher here. FML. You would think that Law classes would be available in evenings. How many people in the legal field didn't work their way through in the legal field? How many legal jobs are not worked some time between 7 am and 6 pm? Yet the latest starting Law class begins at 4 pm. Right now, I work till 430 and can't get to campus any earlier than 5:30.

*sigh* If anyone has any suggestions that would be awesome. Work from home and have a company that hires in Alaska? Please share! Thanks

One possibility at this point is to take all of the student loans I can for next year and quit working for that semester (next spring)... Just set aside all the money for student loans to pay bills when I'm unemployed. It'd keep me going for about 5 months. Maybe get a part time job during that time, assuming I have enough down time.
