Dealing with Stress!

So, just get through the holidays and onto my New year's resolutions, get a touch of the flu....will winter ever end in Minnesota? Then I lose my job! Talk about a stress enabler!! I didn't go to the gym for over 2 weeks. Why not? I was free every day, wasn't I? But stress turns to panic turns to depression turns to can't move off the couch.
Wait for unemployment to get approved, wait for that last severance check, wait to see how the budget is going to be managed for the next month, wait for call backs on job postings, wait, wait, wait! UGH!!
I'm pretty hard on myself, but this is the pits. With a couple of interviews set up, I'm getting to the gym every other day, and with the weather getting a little warmer, can at least walk the dog.
I have to stop the "waiting" trap, and just keep moving. Things will happen when they happen, but sitting at home worrying about it won't make the changes come any faster. Gaining more weight will happen for sure, losing weight will happen with work. Exercise also helps relieve stress, increases endorphins and confidence, which I will need for these interviews.
On to a new month, a new regime, and (fingers-crossed) a new job!!
