Ok, so over the last few weeks I completely cut out chips (with the exception of occasional tortillas) which for me was a HUGE deal. I've been a chip fanatic for as long as I can remember. In fact there are many pics from my childhood showing me munching down in front of the t.v. In the last 10 years my family has discovered a large history of heart disease with the women in our family, which increases my risk. I decided I want to try to watch my sodium intake and had an epiphany while munching on a bag of ruffles that the chips had to go for good. I won't lie...it's been hard! I had cravings that lasted for days. It was my normal behaviour to snack on chips while I was bored, watching t.v. And especially while my son napped. I've been successful for just over 2 weeks so far and it is getting easier. Now, around Easter the ugly chocolate monster reared his head and I realized I need to go round 2 and clear chocolate from my diet as well. Today is day 1 . Hopefully it won't be as big a struggle but only one way to find out!
