April Update

It's April, my favorite month!!! (for many reasons) :-) :-)

It is Spring:

My Birthday:

National Walking Day:

On and on and on.. :-)

Well March was a hard month. I had my blood work and even though my numbers had dropped still not enough so my doctor upped my metformin. I am taking 4 per day and man it makes you sick! I am hanging in there though best I can because since I can't swallow pills she said next it would be insulin injections. :-( I really don't want to have to do that if possible. With my walking I know my numbers will keep coming down. My kidneys are still stage 1 kidney disease but my protein was a little higher, my doctor was upset but my kidney doctor said keep doing what I am doing and come see her in June. So even though some things were great in the end I am so happy that my walking is slowly bringing all my numbers down. I did lose another pound for the month too and 2 more inches off my stomach so bonus!!!

April goals:
5500 step avg
Drink more water

Yep you definitely need to avoid, at all costs, taking insulin. Speaking of costs, it is very high.

Sounds like your Higher Power is holding your feet to the fire to create lifestyle change . . . it takes what it takes. (It usually takes alot of pain, to change.) It's definitely a SparkJourney. I'm honored to be on The Journey to Lifestyle Change with you.

We can change voluntarily . . . or not. It's a choice. Today I choose: wise actions instead of change via pain.

    Well April is my most favorite month after December because:

1 Resurrection Sunday
2 birthdays: mine, my son, grandson & my mother
3 warmer weathers coming
4 mood is positive
5 loving life daily

    Happy Birthday. Keep walking and smiling. Although insulin will control sugars better, you don't want to be on it. I take it 5 times a day. I hate it . It puts weight on you. I have cut it down ,by being on this program. So it does work. I will have to take some insulin the rest of my life ,but I am trying to get it down to the least amount. Walk, Walk, Walk and watch what you eat and your numbers will go down. Mine did. emoticon on weight loss, your doctor should be proud your numbers are coming down and encourage you. Keep going you will find living healthier pays off. Have a great day.
