April 1st seems as good a time as any to do this. I've been at this for roughly 3 months now. I've lost 17 pounds which seems about right. Made it through a March that contaned 2 big food holidays for me. I may not have lost weight every week, but I didn't gain any back either.
Some reasons why I believe that to be the case - I have had at least 10 minutes of cardio since day 1. That's like 85 days straight. I'm impressed. And shocked. Also, even on the days I've called "flex days", the days when I still track what I eat, but don't stay within my guidelines for the day, I still don't go crazy overboard with it.
There is much I need to work on though, so I've put together a little schedule for myself. The strength training has really been lax so I've reconfigured things.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday -
Planet Fitness circuit. I'm changing it a little. I'll do the machines one after the other for the strength training, but save the cardio portion for the end of it. 10 minutes of strength training, 10 minutes of stepping.
At home, a 10+ minute walk/dance.
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday - running and I'll also do a little strength training.
The Planet Fitness circuit does some things well, but I'm not impressed with the core or upper arm machines. So I plan to rotate daily core and upper arm.
Sunday's cardio will be whatever - a walk, the treadmill, whatever for 10+ minutes.
On Sunday (April 7th), is a measuring day. Maybe I'll do a photo to see my progress.
