What a wonderful weekend!

Monday, April 01, 2013

First was the big first birthday party. I did great with the food, but should have had less of the cake. I did not rush to be first in line for the food, actually I was one of the last and made mindful choices. Just a taste of the cake would have been enough, but but I ate it mindlessly and before I knew it it was gone. Thankfully it was a small piece. My precious granddaughter was a little lady and daintily ate her cake bit by bit.

At Easter Brunch she loved the Big Easter Bunny.
As for me I was more mindful as I spied the lavish spread, but did go a bit overboard on the meat. Other than that my selection was mindful and what I selected I ate mindfully. Especially the a fine chocolate truffle, it was something to be savored, so much so that my niece even noticed my reaction. That was my choice from among the huge table of tempting desserts.
It should be a crime that a truffle can bring that much pleasure, it it reminded me that it is quality not the quantity that is satisfying.
