Please Pray for my brother

Monday, April 01, 2013

My sister-in laws grandma died two nights ago.
I am praying for her family and for my brother because my sister in law treats my brother like dirt and she will be worse since she lost someone that she cared about...
-----------------
I really shouldn't admit to this but i really don't want to pray for my brothers wife but I will....

I guess I'm still angry at her for how she treated us and my brother when my mom died I thought I had went past it... She was horrible and to add to the lack of support she didn't even go with us to bury our mom.

---
I'm finding it very hard to have compassion for her loss when she is such a horrible person but I guess people like her need my prayers more than anyone....
----
I'm also going to pray for me to be able to deal with this anger I feel towards her again I thought I had worked thru it.
I'm always decent to her eventho she is a jerk to me, I always pray for her. I do not understand why this anger came back...

Pray that God will soften her heart. Sometimes miracles happen. I am sorry your brother has to deal with this.

I am sorry you have someone like that in your life. You obviously do know that you need to forgive her, pray for her, and move on. I pray that you will turn to the Lord for the strength and His grace to do just that. I've read the other comments, and I don't have any wisdom to add to what is already there. God bless you.

sin makes God angry, so it should make us angry too...just remember is it the behavior that we are to hate, and not the person

You know, my friend? When I was being crushed by my previous landlord, I actually prayed for him. Why? It is easy to love those who love us but not the miserable people who give us hell so, spiritually, we will grow and receive blessings too. Plus, you never know - the prayers may touch them someday. But, if not, they will surely touch you. emoticon Love, Chelsea

You should pray for your sister in law, she needs the prayers, pray that you may let go of the anger, as you pray lift up the anger you feel towards her to God, he will see you through. emoticon

I know you are angry at her, but remember, she probably needs prayers more than anyone, so she can find her compassion and heal her anger.

Whatever the situation, I hope your brother is happy or decides to find happiness.

Concentrate on you and your brother. Your sister-in-law needs to be responsible for her own bad behavior.

You have a very big heart to pray for your SIL but it is the right thing to do. Prayers for your brother, too

emoticon We must remember that "hurt people" hurt people. Dealing with past hurts is difficult, but to move on, we must indeed deal with them. If that were my SIL, I think I would pray that she deals with her past so she can have a future. It almost sounds as if she is bipolar. Walking in forgiveness can give you peace about the situation. May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding be felt in your life today.

You sound human - it's hard to feel kind towards people who go out of their way to be nasty/cruel. Prayers going out for you and your family. Pat

It is very VERY hard to pray for our enemies. (Matt 5:43-44) I know how this is as well. I have a man at work that I disliked so much, that praying for him was kinda like thru clenched teeth. After almost 2 years of bad feelings & dislike on my part I finally realized that I was hurting me more than I was hurting him. trust me it took me a long to get to that place. Then I did decide in my mind that I wouldnt allow him to own my feelings & my days at work. (I spent many days thinking about how much I disliked him). That made all the difference.

You can spend all the time in the world praying for her, but when you finally lay down your anger & gain back your power over your feelings about her will your prayers have meaning & that will end up meaning more for you then her in the end.

I know it is hard. Man is it hard. But in truth, laying this down at God's feet will help you more than anything & it will help you in your prayers for her.

I hope this helps you. I will pray for you hun. Take care & I am sorry for your SIL's loss.
